Toilet Repair & Installation in Ogden, Utah
Stop Wasting Water — Fast, Reliable Toilet Service Since 1915
A running toilet is one of those problems that’s easy to ignore because it doesn’t seem urgent — until you see the water bill. A toilet that runs continuously can waste up to 200 gallons of water per day. In Utah, where conservation matters and water rates continue to climb, that’s not a small problem. The good news is that most running toilet issues are straightforward repairs: a worn flapper, a failing fill valve, or a float that needs adjustment. We can typically diagnose and fix a running toilet in a single visit.
When repair isn’t the right answer — because the toilet is cracked, extremely old, constantly clogging, or just grossly inefficient — we install new toilets as well. We carry a range of models to suit different needs and budgets, and we handle the full installation from removal of the old unit to final testing. If you’re in an older Ogden home with the original fixtures, upgrading to a modern low-flow toilet can cut your household water use significantly.
Most toilet repairs and replacements can be scheduled and completed the same day. We’re not going to leave you without a functioning bathroom while you wait a week for an appointment.

A toilet overflowing or completely non-functional isn’t something you can schedule around. We’re available around the clock — every day of the year.

Why is my toilet constantly running?
The most common cause is a worn flapper — the rubber seal at the bottom of the tank that allows water into the bowl when you flush. When it wears out, it no longer seals completely and water slowly leaks into the bowl, triggering the fill valve to run. A failing fill valve or a float set too high can also cause continuous running. These are all relatively inexpensive repairs.
Should I repair my old toilet or replace it?
If the toilet is structurally sound (no cracks), not constantly clogging, and the repair cost is reasonable relative to the toilet’s age and condition, repair is usually the right call. If it’s more than 20 to 25 years old, has recurring problems, or you’re spending on repair after repair, replacement starts to make more financial sense — especially since modern toilets use dramatically less water.
How long does toilet installation take?
A standard toilet removal and replacement typically takes one to two hours. If there’s a complication like a damaged floor flange, cracked subfloor from a slow leak, or non-standard rough-in dimensions, it can take longer — but we’ll flag that before we get started so there are no surprises.
What toilet brands do you recommend?
We’ve installed a wide range of brands and there are good options at every price point. For most homeowners we recommend Kohler, American Standard, or TOTO — they have strong warranty programs, readily available parts, and a track record for reliability. We’re happy to walk you through options at different price points before we schedule the job.
My toilet is clogged. Is that different from other toilet problems?
Yes — a clog is a separate issue from a mechanical problem with the toilet itself. Most clogs can be cleared with a plunger or a toilet auger. If a clog is recurring in the same toilet or you can’t clear it yourself, it may indicate a partial blockage deeper in the drain line, and we should take a look. Recurring clogs in multiple fixtures at once usually point to a main line issue.
