      • Softening Media – AquaPro 500-2 Hybrid:
        The system uses high-quality, FDA-certified hybrid resin media that combines strong ion exchange capacity with enhanced conditioning. This resin is physically robust and moderately chlorine resistant, offering a long, dependable service life alongside clarifying media for improved water clarity.

      • Controller/Meter:
        A digital control meter continuously measures water usage and automatically triggers regeneration based on consumption and programmed settings. Salt dosage is optimized to maximize efficiency. 

      • Regeneration Cycle:
        The system’s microprocessor manages key cycles including fill, regeneration, double backwash, rinse, and return-to-service for consistent performance. 

      • Control Valve:
        Built with hydraulically balanced parts and corrosion-resistant materials like coated brass and composite Noryl®, the control valve ensures durability and reliable function throughout the waterway. 

      • Resin & Brine Tanks:
        The non-corrosive fiberglass resin tank features a thermoplastic liner with high working pressure and temperature ratings. The high-capacity brine tank holds both salt and brine solution and includes safety features like automatic brine refill, float controls, and an air check to prevent overflow.

How It Works

Hard water contains dissolved minerals such as calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), iron (Fe), copper (Cu), and zinc (Zn). The Deluxe Conditioner uses an ion-exchange process to reduce these contaminants: as water flows through the system’s resin media, hardness and certain metals attach to the resin beads. Once the resin becomes saturated, the system automatically regenerates using a brine solution (typically sodium or potassium) to restore optimal softening performance.
